The day before the highly anticipated K-1 Max July 5th event, media, press, and fans gathered to hear the fighters' thoughts about their impending bouts.

All 63-kilo fighters aim for KO's!

With top fighters from both 63-kilo and 70-kilo classes, the press conference was packed with fans wanting to see their heroes up close. Also in attendance was Fire Harada who will be commenting in Japanese, popular fight commentator Michael "The Voice" Schiavello, and Tokyo Broadcasting sports mascot "Volley-boo".

Event Producer Sadaharu "Tany" Tanikawa told the assembled crowd that the fighters enthusiasm "really comes across" and as if to qualify that, each and every fighter focused on two letters - "K" and "O".

Each fighters' comments really spell out that they are looking to firmly establish the new under 63-kilo weight class and that history will be made on the 5th.

Yuichiro "Jienotsu" made a splash as usual, this time dressed as Kaoru from Evangelion. He talked about how his entrance will be the first entrance collaboration with an IT company and using cutting edge technology. His opponent Andre Dida commented: "The wig looks good on you. This kind of stunt is good for promotion. I like it." Fans of fighting and anime alike will be sure to keep their eyes on Jienotsu from entrance to final exit.

Their are still tickets available at the door, and for those that can't come, the event will be viewed on TBS stations in Japan that evening and live on SkyPerfectTV in Japan.
