Round 1:
The fighters circle each other with Melvin fainting and low kicking, and Remy just looking at him. Melvin catch Remyfs leg and dumps him to the mat, just after landing a huge right hook to the reining championfs body, and barely missing being hit with a knee.
Remy gets to his feet slowly, and tries for a high kick which sets of Melvin on a wild flurry of shots to the head and body that knock both Remy, and himself off balance.
The round ends.

Round 2:
This round starts the same as the first before Remy uses his slapping left punch/right low kick combination that again sets of Melvin on a flurry in which he lands, and gets tagged with a handful of punches, before dumping Remy to the mat again.
Remy throws up a nice high kick, but finds only Melvinfs guard, as does Melvin with the spinning back fist he tries to catch Remy with.
They clinch up and again both hit the mat hard. When they get to their feet Melvin lands a low kick just before the bell rings.

Round 3:
They exchange low kicks, and Remy starts trying to use his reach to land the jab from outside of Melvinfs range. He scores with another high kick on Melvinfs guard, and finally seems to find his tempo, setting his knees, firsts and legs flying. He is low kicking gMini Tysonfsh leg and body with kicks without mercy. Out of no where, Meviln lands a spinning back kick to Remyfs head just before the bell signals the end of the fight.

Remy is awarded the decision.

-- It's the third time you've faced Manhoef.
Remy : I'm very proud to fight him. I'm also proud I can continue on. It was tough fight. The pace was slower than usual. But I'm glad I won.
-- Did you have any extra pressure as the defending champion?
Remy : Yes. But I'm glad I could give the fans a victory. Unfortunately, I couldn't use my best techniques.
-- Was that because of being in bad shape?
Remy : My condition was fine. Sometimes you just don't have a chance to do those things.
-- Now that you've fought him three times, do you think you guys will become friendly?
Remy : I always respect him. There's no like or dislike in the ring, but for some reason his team doesn't like me. That's just the way it is.
-- Who do you want to face in the Final?
Remy : Tonight isn't over yet, so I don't know who all my choices are. It's a tough question.
-- Who is your greatest rival?
Remy : Since I don't know who will win tonight, I won't comment on that yet.
-- You had a lot of problems last year. How about this year?
Remy : I have no personal problems and I'm going to a new gym. Even then I might not have a great fight. There are still some things that I need to work out.

-- After three fights with Remy and you still can't win.
Melvin : I think I won the first round. The second was a draw. Even if he won the third round, it should have gone into an extra round. At 85 kilograms I fought this well. What do you think?
-- I think an extra round is reasonable.
Melvin : Okay. You are now my friend.
-- Thanks? And about Bonjasky?
Melvin : He is not my friend. My team and Badr Hari are my friends. I won the first two rounds. I didn't think he would change his strategy. I fought well for a small guy. I think there will be another match between us.
-- Why do you hate Bonjasky?
Melvin : I don't hate him. His fighting style infuriates me. He is 30 kgs heavier and 20 cm taller. If we were the same size, I'm sure to beat him. I have my father Mike and my brother Badr. Bonjasky isn't in my family.
